With the loss of the forest cover and as part of National Peace Day on November 15th and the large planting project of the entire Ivorian Nation, SIFCA Group, massively supported this activity through its subsidiaries
From Iboké to Bettié and Irobo and Néka, several of the Group’s sites planted hectares of rare trees : Mahogany, Niangon, Ilonba, Teak, and Akpi among others.
This vast planting operation was part of a project initiated by PALMCI on all its IFU: “One employee, one tree”. This project consisted in reforesting all PALMCI’s sites available virgin ground available and to embellish the villages by including more green spaces. Each employee was to plant at least one tree of which he would become the owner and ensure its survival.
On November 14th 2019, Irobo and Iboké organized two official ceremonies in presence of administrative and custom authorities, PALMCI officials and employees of both IFU. On that day, Irobo planted 5.3 hectars, and Iboké 3 hectares.
