Access to drinking water: Sucrivoire is committed alongside communities

Like many rural women, the women of GOUETYFLA and BALLOGUI, communities bordering the IFU of ZUENOULA, walk several miles each day to collect drinking water.

A tedious task which, for several years, forced several families to drink water from the backwater, sometimes a source of illness and death.

Faced with this reality, and with the strength of its commitment to the communities with which it interacts, SUCRIVOIRE (a subsidiary of SIFCA Group) initiated in 2020 a project to build village hydraulic pumps for the benefit of these two villages.

Worth more than twenty million (FCFA 20,000,000) FCFA, this integrated project has also made it possible to train locally management committees, in charge of the maintenance of the pumps.

The handing over ceremony of these infrastructures took place on February 9th 2021, in presence of SUCRIVOIRE officials and administrative and customary authorities in the region.
