SIFCA Award for Agro-industry 5th edition: Joseph Attoumgbré awarded for the second year in a row

Sponsored by the first lady of Côte d’Ivoire, Mrs Dominique Ouattara, the 20th edition of the “Nuit des Ebony” organized at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire on December 8th 2018 was very successful and rewarded M. Tié Medandjé TRAORE of the Newspaper l’Inter as best reporter of the year 2018.

With regards to the sector prizes rewarding specialized journalists, the “Prix SIFCA de l’Agro-Industrie” was given to Joseph Attoumgbré of the newspaper Le Temps. An economist reporter, it’s the second time in a row that Joseph Attoumgbré receives this prize, which could make him the next “Agro industry ambassador” and great promoter of agriculture in Côte d’Ivoire.

The press release that brought this distinction is based on the theme “Industrialization: the difficult path of product transformation”. In this article, the reporter enters the very selective society of Ivorian industrials in order to enlighten their difficulties in creating additional value from local transformation of abandoned products, notably mangoes, papaya, etc.
